Mary Webb. Untitled. The first line reads: “Ah, hush! Tread softly through the rime.” Manuscript poem, one leaf, 3⅞″ x 6¼″, on off-white laid ruled paper, six lines, black ink, with one correction. Roughly torn at the bottom from a larger sheet. On verso, there are eight untitled, lightly penciled lines, with corrections and cross outs. The first verso line reads: “Sing me a song of beech leaves in the kells.”
