In this short letter written a month after her review “Morton Luce” in the Bookman, Webb reveals her sensitivity to words, particularly when critiquing the creative work of fellow-writers. Webb clarifies one of her comments: “I meant, in saying that people should take your books for holidays, that they were books to enjoy with Nature. Afterwards, thinking what holiday literature so frequently is, I feared you might misunderstand.”
